The City of Chula Vista is seeking proposals from qualified, independent municipal advisory firms to provide assistance to City staff and the Redistricting Commission (“Commission”) in analyzing United States Census (“Census”) data and preparing the Draft Redistricting Plan and Recommended Redistricting Plan; assist in reporting the Recommended Redistricting Plan to City Council; and implement the Final Redistricting Plan. The firm must have experience with diverse communities and populations, experience in redistricting for varied interest groups, and have experience in moderating meetings. The City is requesting the following proposal: Demographer to Prepare Redistricting Maps Depicting Electoral District Lines The goal is to initiate mapping services effective January 2021. The contract is forecasted to commence in January 2021, for a period of approximately 8 months or until Scope of Work is completed.
