A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the Laurel City Offices – 101 W 2nd Street, Laurel, Nebraska 68745. All attendees must check in at the City Office. Bidders are encouraged to be present. There is no other time scheduled for inspection of the existing conditions. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the City of Laurel shall receive sealed bids on a single Combined General Construction Contract for the new Laurel Community Center. That said bids shall be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the Laurel City Offices – 101 W 2nd Street, Laurel, Nebraska 68745. Immediately thereafter bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: This project involves the new construction of the Laurel Community Center. In general, this facility will be a wood framed, single story, slab on grade structure. The building is approximately 15,000 SF and includes program areas such as the Event Center, a Senior Center, offices for City Hall, and support spaces including storage, mechanical & electrical rooms, restrooms, and a warming kitchen to be utilized by outside catering services for events. Work will also include food service equipment installation in the warming kitchen and beverage bar serving area. Exterior work will include new utility connections, a parking lot, new sidewalks and exterior patio spaces, and landscaping. Checks shall be made out to Carlson West Povondra Architects. Builders Cards will NOT be accepted on this project. CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $40.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained. If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $45.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
