The National Institutes of Health, Office of Acquisitions Station Support Simplified Branch on behalf of the National Eye Institute (NEI) intends to negotitiate on a non competitive basis with Allama Iqbal Medical Research Centre. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1) and FAR 13.501 (a)(1) to use Simplified Acquisition Procedure for commercial items.

The National Eye Institute requires the continuation of the study on family members affected with eye disease. This project will require that individual familly members be screened and clinically evaluated. Since the NEI does not have the resources necessary to conduct the on-site evaluations and develop family pedigrees, the NEI requests the services of a contractor, who must have a M.D. or Ph.D degree and specialized training and experience in the medical genetics of retinal degenerations.
