The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Silver Spring, MD intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for continuous cable TV services for 100 cable connections to at 5001 Campus Drive, College Park, MD and 4300 River Road, College Park, MD. the existing service provider, Comcast of Maryland Limited Partnership, 1701 John F Kennedy Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19103-2838.. There are no set-aside restrictions for this procurement, and date of delivery is anticipated to be 11/1/2016.

1. The FDA has an ongoing business need for this requirement. Comcast of Maryland Limited Partnership has provided these services since 2002.
2. Comcast of Maryland Limited Partnership has already provided the existing infrastructure and concurrent connections necessary for our 100 cable connections.
3. Continuity and continuation of service by Comcast of Maryland Limited Partnership is the most efficient and cost effective means to continue these services.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Interested entities may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications statement. The FDA will review all responses received; however, the Government retains the sole discretion not to further compete the proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice.
