This is a combined/synopsis/solicitation Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIAID-NOI13-D1625362 and the solicitation is being issued as a Notice of Intent on a sole source basis. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This requirement is for a (1) one year preventative maintenance renewal agreement on (4) four pieces of equipment, 494CLC Procise Sequencer #100000015AB, 491/491C Procise Sequencer#1P000053, 494/494C Procise Sequencer#9409169J, and 491CLC Procise Sequencer #100000035. This is the only vendor that has trained and certified personnel to service these procise sequencers. At this time no other known vender can perform the required services on these instruments. Continuation of these sole-source service contracts are required to maintain proper functioning of our Procise protein sequencers.
