The Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) Contracting Office, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Harris RF Communication, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Market research has revealed that this contractor is the only source capable of providing the products requested. No other source has capability to produce the items. This requirement is to procure 70 PRC-150 Programming Kits, 70 Remote Programming Cables, and 70 RF-5800H Control and Data Cables. The items are needed in order to support II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) Commanding General (CG), Commanders and their staffs in support of critical command and control requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received in a timely manner will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination h! as been made by the Government to use other than full and open competition for this acquisition (See Numbered Note 22).
