This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is being posted to satisfy the requirement under the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract to A.T. Juniper LTD of Liverpool UK for the procurement of Compressor Washers, P/N JMP/HER/D/1144/C600, Trailer Mounted Kyoto Containment Mats P/N JMP/KYOTO/D/6777/C200, CFM56-7 Engine Long Probe Set P/N JMP/CFM56/D/6777/C200, and Containment Mats P/N SM895-01. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to A.T. Juniper LTD as this company is the original equipment manufacturer for the Compressor Washer and associated equipment and is therefore considered the only responsible source capable of providing the required power source, heating ability, water pressure, and water holding ability to meet P-8 mission requirements.
THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
