The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Southeast Scientific Repair, Inc, 102 White Park Drive, Suite 500-B, Dallas, GA 30132, for maintenance coverage not to exceed 12 months for maintenance of 34 freezers of various models and makes at our Atlanta campus. Models include Forma and Sanyo freezers. Due to the perishable and irreplaceable serum from humans and animals stored in the freezers, it is necessary to employ a company which can provide same-day service when equipment is not working properly. Vendor must be able to pass CDC's required background clearance and required safety testing to obtain CDC badge-access to our laboratory areas, and must have access and respond to 24/7 alarms notification of freezer problems. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
