***** Sole source determination is based on the need for a Continuous Wave (CW), Single-Mode, 1000 Watt Fiber Laser, Chiller, and Collimator to be compatible and interchangeable with an existing IPG Photonics YLR-1000-WC-Y14 optical system. A 1000 W laser requires and external water chiller in order remove excess heat from the laser source unit. The chiller must meet engineering requirements based on the heat output of the laser source unit, and must be compatible with water connections and flow restrictions. In addition to the chiller, a new laser collimator lens is required, which must be compatible with the laser fiber. Procuring the laser, chiller, and collimator from IPG ensures cross-compatibility. IPG does not have any authorized resellers and is the only vendor capable in providing the required Continuous Wave (CW), Single-Mode, 1000 Watt Fiber Laser.
