ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS KEY FIELD - MERIDIAN, MISSISSIPPI Sealed bids will be received by the Meridian Airport Authority in the airport conference room, Airport Terminal Building, 2811-A Highway 11 South, Meridian, Mississippi until Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., April 8th, 2020. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. The work is generally described as: CONTRACT NO. 1 – REHABILITATE TAXIWAY BRAVO, NORTH OF CHARLIE The rehabilitation will include approximately 1,200 cubic yards of excavation, 4,400 square yards of cold milling of bituminous pavement, 1,000 tons of size 610 crushed stone, 3,800 tons of hot mix asphalt pavement and other incidental work. CONTRACT NO. 2 – SOUTH PUMPING STATION IMPROVEMENTS Work will involve installation of two 6,400 gpm stormwater screw pumps, fencing, structural concrete, rip rap slope protection and incidental items to improve drainage near the southern end of Runway 1-19. CONTRACT NO. 3- REHABILITATE AIRFIELD MARKINGS Work will involve re-striping airfield pavement markings at Key Field. Marking removal is also included in the work. CONTRACT NO. 4 – REPLACE EMERGENCY GENERATORS Work will involve removal and replacement of emergency generators and transfer switches located at the Airport Terminal, Light Vault and FBO at Meridian Regional Airport. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days. Bidding and Contract Documents may be purchased from the Engineer upon prior payment of a fee of $75.00, which is non-refundable. Each bidder shall provide a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility or their bid will not be opened or considered.
