LEGAL NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, in accordance with the General Municipal Law § 104-b and the County of Schuyler’s Procurement Policy, the Legislature of the County of Schuyler (the “County”) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms interested in providing Indigent Legal Services: Interim Public Defender to the County, and TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the Clerk of the Schuyler County Legislature will receive proposals for Indigent Legal Services: Interim Public Defender no later than July 1, 2022, at 10:30 AM. Prospective firms are advised that the authorized County of Schuyler contact person for all matters concerning this Request for Proposals (the “Request” or “RFP”) is: Fonda Chronis, Schuyler County Administrator 105 Ninth Street, Unit #37 Watkins Glen, NY 14891 (607) 535-8106 [email protected] Copies of the Request for Proposals may be obtained beginning June 1, 2022, at the above address between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with the exception of County-observed holidays), by contacting (607) 535-8106 (telephone) or emailed to [email protected] as well as through https://www.schuylercounty.us/bids.aspx under “Current Bids and Proposals.” Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “INDIGENT LEGAL SERVICES: INTERIM PUBLIC DEFENDER” and be mailed or delivered to the Clerk of the Legislature, 105 Ninth Street, Unit 6, Watkins Glen, NY 14891, no later than July 1, 2022, at 10:30 AM. Proposals will be opened and publicly read on July 1, 2022, at 10:45 AM. The Contract will be finally awarded by the Schuyler County Legislature meeting in open session, on or about August 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., pursuant to New York State County Law Section 215(2). Qualified individuals and/or non-profit, tax-exempt legal services organizations are invited and encouraged to respond. The County reserves the right to reject any/all proposals pursuant to law.
