The intent of the Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish firm bid prices for the purchase of Core Distribution Switches to be utilized Districtwide to upgrade the LANs within our schools to 10 Gig backbones.The Core Distribution Switches will also serve as Routers to upgrade the WAN connections to 25/40 Gig in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as needed, by the School Board. The Core Distribution Switches will be integrated into the School District’s WAN as Layer-3 devices (Routers), and MUST be capable of the following specifications: *IP Unicast Routing Protocols including Static; Routing Information Protocol version 1 [RIPv1], version 2 [RIPv2], and next generation [RIPng]; and Open Shortest Part First [OSPF]. *Advanced IP Unicast Routing Protocols (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol [EIGRP], Border Gateway Protocol version 4 [BGPv4], and Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System version 4 [IS-ISv4]. *Protocol-Independent-Multicasting (PIM) for IP Multicasting, including PIM Sparse Mode (PIM SM), Bidirectional PIM, and Source Specific Multicast (SSM). PLEASE NOTE: Also in compliance with the requirements of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), the School and Library E-rate program School Board is requesting bid responses for the upcoming E-rate funding year which will commence on July 1, 2022 and end June 30, 2023. All Bidders must be E-rate eligible and file an FCC Form 499A to provide the equipment requested and provide their SPIN number as part of the Bid.
