The Bureau of the Census is issuing this notice as a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 51-SO-BC-9-00144 is issued as a Request For Quote. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-35 dated 14-July-2009. This is an indefinite-quantity contract for supplies. CLIN0001 Corrugated Carton, 18 inch x 12-1/2 inch x 6 inch, kraft, single wall, c-flute, liner-board combination 56-33-56, with glued joints, printing 1 inch letters in black ink, on one bottom panel “5151-D” and certification seal. Minimum Quantity 1,000,000 cartons maximum quantity 1,500,000 cartons. CLIN0002. Quantity variation of up to plus 10 % of CLIN0001. Cartons must be bundled or banded 25 per, on wooden pallets with a total height, including the pallet not to exceed 48”. The U. S. Census Bureau anticipant’s one award resulting from this notice. Award will be made to lowest priced responsive, responsible, offeror meeting all specifications and requirements. Cartons must be compatible with Combi 2-EZ high-speed case erector: left hand model. All corrugated cartons must meet FBA and PMMI tolerances for corrugated containers. Boxes that do not meet these recognized tolerances will be returned for immediate replacement or credit. Census Bureau, 700 Patrol Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47132. Delivery schedule: 31-AUG-2009 three (3)-tractor trailer loads, approximately 20,000 each. With three (3) loads of approximately 20,000 each per week until order is complete. Trailers are to be dropped at dock doors at delivery location. Census will unload trailers within a minimum of five (5) working days, trailers will then be available for pick up upon delivery of next three (3) trailers of approximately 20,000 each. This delivery schedule is subject to change with a two (2) week notice to the vender. This is an indefinite-quantity contract for supplies and is in effect until 31-Dec-2009. The quantities of supplies in the schedule are estimates only. The Government shall order at least the quantity of supplies designated in the schedule as the “minimum”. Two-week notice will be provided if and when quantities above the minimum are required.
