The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) is requesting proposals from Lodging providers to provide a layover facility for the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) and Operating contractor’s train crews in the Downtown San Jose area. SJRRC manages the ACE passenger rail service in Northern California between the Central Valley and Silicon Valley and oversees the day-to-day management, planning, and support services necessary to operate the trains. Currently, the ACE trains are operated and maintained by Herzog Transit Services (“Operators”), Inc., whose employees would be covered under this scope.
