This is a notice of intent to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), sole source purchase order to a Small Disadvantaged Business, Crye Precision for specialty clothing items for Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Division 4, Special Response Team (SRT). Crye brand tactical jackets are the only brand that meets the Government's needs. IAW FAR 13.106 (b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Based on urgency and specific mission essential requirements and low inventory availability, an award will be made to Crye Precision for 420 tactical jackets in the amount of $109,592.00.
