The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Rigaku Americas Corp., The Woodlands, TX 77381 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase of one (1) each Desktop Minstrel UV Crystallization Imaging System, Image Database Workstation, and Gallery 160 Plate Hotel Storage and Retrieval System. Imaging system includes Control Computer with Desktop Minstrel UV Control Software, CrystalTrak Database Software, Barcode Printer and Software. Database Workstation is Dual Processor with 750 GB HD and DVDRW drive, and 17" LCD Flat Panel Display. Includes delivery, assembly, installation, and training. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Rigaku.
