The Rathbun Lake Project is located on the Chariton River in Appanoose County, Iowa. It is approximately 5-miles north of Centerville, Iowa, and about 16-miles north of the Iowa-Missouri state line. The project includes multiple parks and general public access areas with supporting facilities for use by the public. Custodial services to pick up, remove, and dispose of trash and clean such facilities as fish cleaning stations, shelters, public restrooms, and RV dump stations within the Island View Public Use Area (PUA) are necessary to support the recreational component of the Rathbun Lake Project.
