GovWorks on behalf of the Center for Army Analysis (CAA) intends on awarding a sole source purchase order to Frontline Systems for the below listed requirement. This announcement is published as a Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. CAA is acquiring multiple site licenses and maintenance for XPRESS Solver Engine for Excel v5.5, LP/MIP Only. XPRESS Solver Engine is an add-on/extension package for existing software Premium Solver Platform that CAA already has and allows for expanded calculation up to 200,000 variables and 200,000 constraints. This software has been validated as the only software that meets specific software requirements for some of the analysis they have assigned to the CAA Stationing Analysis Team. Award to Frontline Systems has been deemed a logical follow-on as Frontline Systems is the only provider of and has proprietary rights to Premium Solver Platform software and any updates or add-ons to it. The anticipated date of award is August 30, 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
