This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. The Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk intends to acquire on a competitive basis a lease local exchange access commercial network service, /path/interface to the Public Switch Telephone Network, transmission and switching of voice, data and image services for NAS Whiting field Milton, FL. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The basic period of performance is from March 1, 2005 to September 30, 2005 with four (4) option years. Requirement will be solicited as a commercial item using the special simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR PART 13.5.
