1. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Information Technology Acquisition Center (ITAC) is conducting market research in conjunction with Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to seek industry and public information and comments on a proposed method for defining standardized role definitions for authorized users of DHS information systems. 2. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain valuable industry input to assist in the acquisition planning process and gain a greater knowledge of industries ability to provide these services. This is not a request for proposals or quote and there is no assurance that any acquisition action will follow from this RFI. This is also not a “sources-sought” solicitation, but information on a corporation’s experience with identical or similar projects. DHS is not obligated, in any way to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) or otherwise make an award as a result of this RFI.
