The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely Anacomp, Inc, 15378 Avenue of Science, San Diego, CA 92128, for the continued maintenance and support of the following proprietary licensed software products: ANQ Model XPF2000 XF23, XFP MOD III and related accessories. Support shall be required for a least one year. These Anacomp software products are currently licensed and installed on mainframe computer systems located in SSA's Metro West Building in Baltimore, MD. This is not a request for quotes; quotes submitted in response to this notice will not be considered. Interested parties that believe they can provide the required service must respond to this notice no later than 5:00 p.m. EST August 18, 2003. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to SSA-RFQ-03-0658. FAXED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged.
