For a complete description see the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
As part of the DOD Standard Procurement System, the Procurement Defense Desktop (PD²) application was selected as the standard tool for writing and administering contracts. Initial installation/deployment of the PD² application within DISA began in Jul â98. In 2003, the PD2 database which was physically located at the DECC in Ohio and contained data for both DITCO-Scott and DITCO-NCR was split into separate databases for each DITCO. At the same time, the databases were moved to local locations for each DITCO and the PD2 version was upgraded to version 4.2 Increment 1. The version has subsequently been upgraded to version 4.2 Increment 2.
The objective of this order is to procure on-site support services for daily SPS operation, maintenance and integration into the Agencyâs acquisition mission. The PD² software is continually evolving and new interfaces being built which will allow for a more seamless approach to e-business applications. DISA intends to use PD² as the cornerstone application of the contracting process and, as such, requires functional and technical support to ensure the database remains operational and available to the contracting community.
The contractor shall comply with the appropriate DoD-approved architectures, programs, stan-dards and guidelines, such as Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) Strategic Technical Guidance (STG), Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and Shared Data Environment (SHADE).
