The purpose of this RFP is to provide the Buffalo Public Schools with a rigorous, interactive Dance textbook/program(s) aligned to the New York State Arts Standards in Dance grades K-12. Vendors may submit one textbook/program that covers all grade levels or offer a textbook/program that covers a specific grade band, such as K-3, 4-8, 9-12, or something similar in grouping. This textbook/program(s) will be available to all schools offering Dance and is intended for student and teacher use. The textbook/program(s) must be culturally responsive, offer supports for students identified as Special Education, as well as offers a platform for online and digital resources. The textbook/program must reflect the importance of every student’s engagement with the New York State Arts Standards in Dance and focus on project/performance-based learning that encourages inquiry, critical thinking and creativity. Additionally, the program must be adaptive to meet the needs of all learners, including special education and advanced students.
