Invitation to Bid Project: Dangerous Structure Demolition City of Abilene, Kansas The City of Abilene is soliciting interest from private contractors for the demolition of the dwelling, deemed unsafe and dangerous, by Resolution 082823-2, located at 604 S. Cedar, Abilene, Kansas. Pursuant of City Code Chapter II – Building and Property Regulation/Article 6. Building Demolition bids must include the following: Demolition of 1,078 sq. ft. dwelling Removal of foundation at least (1) foot below ground level Crawl space fill Clearing of all demolition debris/materials Work to be completed by December 15, 2023, with final inspection completed by the City Inspector. Contractors must be at least 18 years of age. The successful bidder shall provide proof of $300,000 in liability insurance.
