CITY OF BATTLE GROUND DECANT FACILITY EXPANSION Bids due 9:00 am, May 11, 2022 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received until 9:00 AM, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 by the City of Battle Ground at the City of Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 127, Battle Ground, Washington 98604, for the Decant Facility Expansion - (CP-SS-2018-01) project and other related work; then publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 127, Battle Ground, Wash ington. SCOPE OF WORK Construction of 2 single bay additions to the existing City of Battle Ground Decant Facility and other associated improvements at the City of Battle Ground Operations Center as listed in the Contract Documents. City Council shall proceed to award the contract to the lowest bidder and best bidder but may reject any or all bids if, in its opinion, good cause exists, therefore, to waive infor malities in the bidding and to accept the bid from the lowest respon sible bidder. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND BID PROPOSAL can be e-mailed on request by e-mailing [email protected] as of April 20, 2022. All bid proposals, over $100,000, shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory perfor mance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City. The City of Battle Ground in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondis crimi nation in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvan taged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in considera tion for an award. Informational copies of maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection in the Public Works - Engi neering office in Battle Ground, Washington. It is anticipated that this project will be funding in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology.
