Sources Sought Notice:

The AFFTC/PK, Edwards Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing a onetime service of pre-action deluge.

REQUIREMENTS
Pre-action deluge
The contractor shall provide the following one-time services:

a. Inspection shall be performed in the following areas:
1. Pre-action/deluge Valves - enclosure temperature
2. Gauges for pre-action deluge system
3. Exterior inspection of pre-action/deluge valves
4. Backflow preventer
5. Pre-action/deluge valves - strainers, filter, orifices

b. tests shall be performed in the following areas:
1. Alarm devices (90 seconds)
2. Main drain
3. Antifreeze
4. Control valve - position
5. Control valve - operation
6. Supervisory
7. Pre-action valve - priming water
8. Pre-action valve - low air pressure alarm
9. Simulate full flow trip
10. Backflow preventer assemblies
11. Gauges

c. Maintenance shall be performed in the following areas:
1. Obstruction investigation
2. Valves

d. Replacement is required of the following item:
1. Main shutoff valve

Ship Date is September 2009. FOB: Destination Edwards AFB CA 93524.

Firms responding to this notice must identify their company's capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the solicitation number and indicate whether or not you are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1.

The information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in
September 2009.
