Design/Build RFP HUD Project
Gila River Health Care extends an invitation to interested and qualified Native American Design/Build Contractors to submit a formal proposal as described there in.
In order to accommodate growth and improve efficiencies in providing care to its patients, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital has identified a series of building renovations labeled as Red Flag Projects. This series of four subprojects will involve the relocation and renovation of individual departments as well as the renovation of adjacent spaces to provide growth areas for the departments. The subprojects will be completed with minimal downtime between projects to ensure that there is no disruption to patient services. Each project phase will be designed and permitted separately and in sequence to allow renovations to begin as soon as possible. The expected budget for the project is $3,437,500. The subprojects total approximately 24,600 square feet of clinical and non-clinical space. The project may also include some enhancements to the building exterior, landscaping and exterior signage to improve the overall site way-finding. The scope of this work will be based upon the availability of funds and is shown on the Phasing Plan for reference only. The overall design of the project will compliment the existing building and will reflect and be sensitive to the history and culture of the Gila River Indian Community.
This project is funded under the Housing for Urban Development (HUD) Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG). Ten percentage (10) points shall be given to the proposal of a qualified Native American owned or operated firm.
