The Project consists of the renovation of the existing building adjacent to the Sheriff’s department on Industrial Dr W, in Hernando, MS. The building renovation includes the modification of interior partitions including sound treatment, new doors, infilling existing openings, creating new openings, new electrical for modified rooms, new lighting, and new HVAC for portion of the existing building. Demolition will include the demolition of parts of the existing slab for plumbing upgrades, the removal of existing garage doors, some exterior doors, and some exterior windows. All areas modified is to be repainted. New acoustic ceiling systems to be installed where noted. The electrical system includes a new sub-panel, ats system, bid alternate generator, and new circuits for the new use in modified areas. Sound panels are also to be provided in the interrogation room. New extensions on the electrical system to new sub-panel, and new HVAC system for the renovated areas. Interior materials include stud constructed partitions, sound rated partitions, carpet, and new ceilings and lighting. Exterior materials include brick to match the existing. Site work is limited to only the north side of the building for a aluminum canopy and new mechanical unit. Bid Information: Notice is hereby given that Sealed Bids will be received by the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors by the Director of Procurement, Angie Irving, at 365 Losher Street, Suite 340, Hernando, MS on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., at which time and place Bids will be opened and publicly read. Contractor's company name and a current Certificate of Responsibility Number (or "bid under $50,000") shall be written on the outside of the sealed envelope. Pre-Bid Information: There will be a Pre-Bid meeting for the above project on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m..
