NASA/GSFC has a requirement for (Quantity of 25) Single Mode DFB Distributive Feedback Lasers
NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from RPMC Lasers, Inc.
The single mode lasers are used in miniaturized laser hederodyne radiometer that measures methane.
Minimum requirements include:
• DFB (Distributive Feedback)
• Lasers Centered at 1640 nm
• Type 2
• 14-Pin Butterfly Mount
• Single Mode Fiber
• FC/APC connectors
Deliverables and Delivery Schedule
Single Mode DFB Distributive Feedback Lasers
RPMC is to our knowledge, the only contractor able to manufacture and deliver a single mode, distributive feedback (DFB) laser at a required wavelength of 1640 nm.
Delivery schedule shall be no later than 45 days after award.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing mail to: [email protected] no later than 11:59 p.m. (EST) time on August 20, 2016.
Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
