This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed requirement contract type is firm fixed price with an anticipated award date of April 19, 2010.
The solicitation number is HSHQEH-10-Q-00017 and is issued as request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-39. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334611. This is not a small business set aside acquisition.

The Federal Protective Service (FPS) intends to negotiate and award this requirement to Nuance Communications, One Wayside Road, Burlington, MA 01803-4609 or to a responsible contractor that can provide the exact services stated in the Statement of Work (SOW). FPS does not own and nor can it provide specifications, plans, drawings or other technical data on the Nuance Communications Integrated Voice System to Enterprise Express.
The anticipated period of performance is for a one (1) year base period with two (2) one year option periods.
FPS requires the following service for the Battle Creek Mega Center in Battle Creek, Michigan.
