THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), Office of Contracts (CON) located in Washington, DC intends to negotiate non-competitively a five-month commercial item contract with Mambo LLC (WGEN), 1800 NW 94 Ave., Miami, FL 33172. The term of the proposed contract is July 20, 2009 through December 18, 2009. The contract will provide a DirecTV uplink for the Office of Cuba Broadcasting's (OCB) TV Marti programming on Channel 12. The DirecTV uplink provided by WGEN is for OCB to meet its broadcasting requirements. This action is being done in accordance with a Market Survey posted in Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) under Notice No. 4-6-2009TV Marti on April 6, 2009. WEGN was the only responder who submitted a responsive capabilities statement to the Agency's FedBizOpps Market Survey that was posted on April 6, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received from firms interested in responding to this notice must be sufficient in detail to afford an evaluation without any need for additional submission and the information submitted will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to consider a competitive procurement.
