The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure Distributive Antenna System (DAS) equipment racks, Master Headends (MHE), Secondary Headends (SHE), and Remote Repeater units on a sole source basis with Fiber-Span L.L.C. located in Branchburg, NJ under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The part numbers and quantities are as follows: FS-ENC-CABINET-42-NEMA12, qty (6); FS-ENC-ORR-27, qty (90); FS-MHE-09-0046.05, qty (1); FS-SHE-09-0046.05-26, qty (1); FS-SHE-09-0046.05-16, qty (4); FS31R-15C4.0RMN, qty (90); FS31R-15C4.0WMN, qty (10).

This effort is in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division, who has been tasked by the United States Capitol Police (USCP) to support the critical communications expansion of the existing Distributive Antenna System (DAS) for the Capitol complex and USCP vehicles. Due to the current architecture, design, and equipment used for the existing communications network, the equipment is required to maintain interoperability within the functionality of the existing USCP DAS. Delivery of this equipment is required no later than 31 October 2012.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, the government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
