ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serves as a Diversified Operator on the Solid Waste team capable of expertly operating the full spectrum of solid waste equipment and performing a variety of other work necessary to maintain exceptional service for customers. Provides support to various areas of the Solid Waste operation including but not limited to Commercial Collection. Collects solid waste from necessary areas and safely transports loads to designated disposal location. Washes, cleans, and performs routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, filters, belts, etc. on assigned daily equipment. Completes and maintains daily written records and logs on mileage, fuel consumption, and necessary repairs to vehicle and equipment. Provides support in the delivery and repair of solid waste containers as well as other special solid waste projects.
