The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The FBI intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to Promega Corporation, 2800 Woods Hollow Road, Madison, WI, 53711, DNA Reagent 9947A, 10 ng/ul, 250ng. This reagent is used as a control in the DNA analytical process as specified in FBI Procedures Manual. Promega Corporation is the sole provider for the 9947A DNA, 10 ng/ul 250ng currently used by the FBI DNA Database Unit. Therefore, this reagent is required to ensure analytical integrity and program continuity while furthering the mission of the FBI. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, April 5, 2011, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Kathleen Cannon Jones, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-8480.
