The United States Department of Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) intends to make a sole source award to Applied Biosystems, Foster City Ca. for the production of dNTP Blend (12.5mM dATP, dGTP, dCTP, 25mM dUTP). The dNTP Kit is soley produced by ABI, Switching to another kit from another vendor would invalidate all previous optimization and evaluation efforts. This would be unacceptable to the agencies that employ current reagents in ongoing operations.
