The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to award a sole source contract award to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Mission Systems Sector, Land and Avionics C4ISR Division (NGSC) to upgrade the Department of Navy (DoN) Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM), AN/AAQ-24 family of configurations to be interoperable with the Common Infrared Countermeasures (CIRCM) or equivalent CIRCM laser technology as a suitable replacement for the Guardian Laser Transmitter Assembly (GLTA) for use on various Department of Defense Aircraft. This effort includes the Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) to modify and/or replace the -401/402 GLTA and the -2103 signal processor as required to integrate the GLTA replacement Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA) in the AN/AAQ-24 system.
This effort is being solicited on a sole source basis under NAVAIR solicitation N0001915G0026N0001917F0294 to NGSC, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1.
