The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to upgrade the AN/AAQ-24V25 DoN LAIRCM System with hardware and software changes. Non-recurring and recurring tasks are necessary to define, test, evaluate, produce and support an AN/AAQ-24V25 system upgrade for the CH-53 DoN LAIRCM program and as required by the Navyâs Marine Corpsâ assault aircraft programs. The AN/AAQ-24V25 system upgrades include applicable smart cards, sensors/jammers, processors, control panels, applicable interface/mounting hardware, all interconnect wiring, and platform technical directives. The AN/AAQ-24V25 hardware and software upgrade tasks include the following functional areas; Program Management, System Engineering, System Design, System Procurement, System Integration, System Verification and Validation, System Operations Training, and Logistics and Sustaining Engineering.
This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
