The successful contarctor will supply the Library of Congress with qualified donor profiles. Specific qualifications include the ability to search complex online and subscription databases and extract relevant biographical, professional and philanthropic information and present findings in an easily read Microsoft Word document. The Library of Congress is not providing any property to the contractor and no government data furnished is given to the contractor. The contractor does no work on Library property. The contractor has no access to Library collections. However, the contractor may request in-person meetings at Library of Congress.
The contractor will assess an individual's, company's or charitable trust or foundation's capacity and propensity to donate to the Library of Congress. The contractor will employ a variety of resources, including public records, business and financial publications, and Internet databases to provide the Library with a detailed biographical or background profile. The contractor will generally utilize resources such as the Internet, but also with subscribed databases like LexisNexis. The contractor may also use resources such as Guidestar, Chronicle of Philanthropy, Who's Who, and Leadership Directories which can provide good general background on a prospect.
The contractor will prepare full prospect profiles and send them to the Development Office via email. Once profiles are sent to the Library of Congress, The Library of Congress owns the biographical profiles. Completed profiles will include photo if available; home address(es); biographical info; gift rating; board and civic affiliations; publicly available financial information, such as property value, stock ownership, etc; business overview; business bio; philanthropic activities; military service; and education.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CONTRACT TYPE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO AN IDIQ TYPE CONTRACT. THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES A BASE AND FOUR OPTION YEARS.
