The Agricultural Marketing Service has posted a Draft FPPS for Oven Roasted Chicken March 2024. Primary updates include: adding certification option and Contractor checkloading, providing primary and secondary UPCs, increasing WOG range from 2.50 - 4.30 lbs. to 2.50 - 5.0 lbs., updated sodium content, clarification of parts terminology in section 552, addition of sections 564 and 564.1, replacement of sections 566 through 566.1.1 with sections 567 and 567.1 which mimic same requirements for other cooked products, addition of section 622.1.1 to clarify if parts are packed in natural proportion then counting pieces is not necessary, addition of sections 711 and 712 for consistency, and removal of section 820.1.
