Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): Base Items- Haul and Dry Dock, Hull Painting, Replace shaft bearing liners and stern tube bearings, replace existing stuffing box with a shaft dry seal assembly, service cpp propeller hub, replace existing aft deck hatch, replace forepeak egress hatch and replace existing main chest valve with new valve. The LAURENTIAN is a "traditional trawler" converted to a research vessel, 140 GT, LOA:80'; Beam: 26'; Draft of the vessel: 9'; Displacement: 130 tons; Hull #: NOAA8001; General design of the vessel is a traditional trawler converted to a research vessel. Period of performance will be August 1, 2019, or date of award, whichever is later, through September 6, 2019.
Vendors shall be located within the vessels operating are of Lakes Michigan, Huron and Erie. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with Dennis Donahue, Marine Superintendent, at 231-755-5173 or cell 231-750-0604. Bidder shall be a full service yard with full liability insurance.

This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about April 23, 2019 with a due date of May 10, 2019. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency.
