THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025918N0112. The Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being available to meet the Government's needs, to INVIVO CORPORATION; 3545 SW 47^th Avenue, Gainesville, FL, 32608-7691. NMCSD intends to award a service contract for DynaCAD 3.3 Prostate Server Software Service Maintenance and Upgrade.

The requirement is for DynaCAD 3.3 Prostate Server Software Service Maintenance, Upgrade and License that allows for flexible processing engine helps to ensure cases are processed quickly and accurately without modification to workflow. Customizable hanging protocols allow each user to independently setup their own viewing preferences and the on-the-fly system architecture provides the ability to alter settings without having to resend or reprocess exams. Requirement must provide Software and Support Program coverage for DynaCAD 3.3 Prostate workstation and upgrade. Service Maintenance must include parts and factory repair labor cost for defective systems, transport cost for receiving systems back after repair (one leg of freight cost), immediate access to remote applications & tech support (standard office hours), onsite technical support (time, material and travel cost), one (1) time period of two (2) days per year on-site application training, System tune-up service up to two (2) times per year (on customer request) and free updates for contractor Software, which comprises enhancement of existing feature packages.  

INVIVO CORPORATION is the sole manufacturer to provide this service. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the size standard is $20.5 (million).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work. Capability statements shall not exceed 5 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
