The U.S. Navy intends to procure on a sole-source basis from Rockwell Collins Sustaining Engineering Services, to include Engineering and Technical Services, for the Mission Avionics System (MAS)/High Power Transmit System (HPTS) on the E-6B aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract to Rockwell Collins on an other than full and open competitive basis to accomplish this effort. The contract covers a base and four option periods. The period of performance for the base year is from 1 April 2009 through 30 November 2009. The period of performance for option one is from 1 December 2009 through 30 November 2010. The period of performance for option two is from 1 December 2010 through 30 November 2011. The period of performance for option three is from 1 December 2011 through 30 November 2012. The period of performance for option four is from 1 December 2012 through 30 November 2013.
