The IRS has a continuing need for Eaton Powerware 9390 UPS Hardware Maintenance in support of the Chief Counsel office in San Francisco, CA. This hardware maintenance is need so that there is no disruption of the San Francisco Computer room.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. The IRS anticipates a sole source award to Eaton Corporation. The IRS is purchasing the following support:
(1) Renew 1 Year Maintenance, for our Powerware 9390 UPS.

- After Hours (7x24) w/ Parts&Labor
- 8 HR Response Time
- 1x per term: UPS Preventive Maintenance, After Hours (7x24) (0005NXXX)

Eaton Corporation is the sole manufacturer and single source supplier for the Eaton Powerware 9390 product family. This is the only software on the market which provides 100% of the functionality and compatibility necessary to do the required, UPS maintenance. Eaton Corporation has attested to the proprietary nature of the software. To the Service's knowledge, there is no other product and maintenance that can meet the Service's needs for this application.
