Also of importance is the need for a warranty on all EATON batteries and maintenance services. EATON will only provide a parts and labor warranty on its batteries if purchased from an EATON Authorized Power Specialist (EAPS) and installed by an EATON OEM certified mechanic.
NIST intends to award a sole source purchase order to Chesapeake Mission Critical for EATON batteries, installation and maintenance services, under the FAR Authority Part 6 302-1, 41 USC 3304(a)(1) - only one responsible source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors; the Small Business Size Standard is $15.0M.
The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, responses received by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on May 18, 2018, will be considered by the Government.
