ECP 6459

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed-price, sole source task order to the Boeing Company for non-recurring engineering (NRE), and planned 152 kits associated with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6459, "Retrofit incorporation of the Advanced Capabilities Mission Computer (ACMC) in Lot 30 and up EA-18G, and NEA-18G F134 and F135 aircraft"  under basic ordering agreement (BOA) N00019-10-C-0078. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
