The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), intends to award a Contract to Honeywell International of Clearwater, FL.
The NAICS code for this effort is 334290 "Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing" with a size standard of 750 employees.
This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) proprietary data rights of the contractor. Honeywell International is the OEM and only source capable to interface with the installed EGI's already on the aircrafts. Contract award date is anticipated to be on or before 04/20/2012.
Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAR 5.204, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the U.S. Coast Guard's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
The U.S. Coast Guard promotes exchanges of information among all interested parties. An interested party as defined by FAR 31.101, may communicate with the point of contact (POC) as shown at the bottom of this notice. The Coast Guard anticipates the release of the solicitation fifteen days after this notice is posted to the Government point of entry, Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). An interested party my request a copy of the synopsis or solicitation from the POC after it has been posted on FBO.
As defined by FAR 9.103, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
