The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole-source modification with Raytheon Company, Tucson, AZ, for a site survey for the Egyptian Sparrow Missile. Sparrow is a legacy system that has been supported by Raytheon, which is the only source that has the requisite corporate knowledge of the Egyptian Sparrow Missile Program. All Sparrow support and test equipment currently in Egypt are of RMS manufacture. As such, RMS is the only source that can perform this effort in the required timeframe needed to meet the urgent requirement of the Egyptian Air Force. Note 22 applies.
