The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, storage, supervision, transportation, and other items necessary to perform Painting Services at Eielson AFB, Alaska.

The following is a summary of work:

A generalized description of services required under this contract are application of paints, primers, stains, varnishes and other protective coatings to the interior and exterior of base facilities and to pavements; wallpaper application; suitable preparatory cleaning including washing, blasting, sanding, and scraping; lead-paint abatement; sheetrock repair; caulking and crack filling; mudding and taping; texturing; and application of primers and seal coats. Work shall involve entire buildings or portions of a building, tanks, piping, utilidors, and trailer-mounted apparatus.

The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238320 with a size standard of $14.0 million. This acquisition is being solicited IAW FAR 19.805, Alaska Competitive 8(a). THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS ARE PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ONLY. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. A site visit will be conducted at Eielson AFB, on or around 2 June 2011 (exact date, time and location will be provided in the IFB), for the purpose of explaining the concepts involved with the project.
