The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, storage, supervision, transportation, and other items necessary to perform Painting Services at Eielson AFB, Alaska.
The following is a summary of work:
A generalized description of services required under this contract are application of paints, primers, stains, varnishes and other protective coatings to the interior and exterior of base facilities and to pavements; wallpaper application; suitable preparatory cleaning including washing, blasting, sanding, and scraping; lead-paint abatement; sheetrock repair; caulking and crack filling; mudding and taping; texturing; and application of primers and seal coats. Work shall involve entire buildings or portions of a building, tanks, piping, utilidors, and trailer-mounted apparatus.
The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238320 with a size standard of $14.0 million. This acquisition is being solicited IAW FAR 19.805, Alaska Competitive 8(a). THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS ARE PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ONLY. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program.** The solicitation will be available on or about 17 May 2011. A solicitation mailing list will not be maintained for this procurement, all solicitation documents will be available electronically and it is the responsibility of the offeror to register for notification of updates to this procurement via this web site.
A site visit will be conducted at Eielson AFB, on or around 2 June 2011 (exact date, time and location will be provided in the IFB), for the purpose of explaining the concepts involved with the project.
