Project Title: Elkhorn Stewardship 2019
The USDA, Forest Service has a requirement for an integrated resource contract (estimated 338 acres) on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forests. Project shall include, but not limited to, mechanical felling of included timber, cutting of non-saw timber and biomass and mandatory removal of saw timber and non-saw timber. Activity slash shall be piled at landing location. Road work shall include drainage structure improvement, ditch cleaning, surface blading, clearing of roadway vegetation and installation of culverts. Select roads shall be decommissioned following the treatment.
Project Location:
The project is located in all or portions of sections 12 and 13 T9N, R74W; sections 7, 18, 19 and 20 T9N, R73W; 6th P.M. Larimer County, Colorado. From Fort Collins, Colorado, drive north on Hwy 287 to junction of LCR 74E; turn west on 74E and continue to the junction of County Road 69. Continue south on County Road 69 to the intersection with NFSR 517. This intersection is the approximate northern end of the contract area boundary.
