The Portland Area Indian Health Service, Wellpinit Service Unit (WESU) is
requesting a new annual Service Agreements for maintenance support & two
(2) upgraded consoles & a Carbon Reader for their current x-ray unit from the
manufacturer FujiFilm Medical Systems USA, Inc.
The manufacturer, FujiFilm Medical Systems USA, Inc. has proprietary of the
software and equipment used at WESU. Market research found that no other
vendors are able to provide service agreements for maintenance and software
support because they are not authorized trained technicians for FujiFilm and
this has not changed to date.
In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) the statutory authority permitting
other than fully competition, as implemented in FAR Part 6.302-1, Fuji Medical
Systems USA, Inc. is the only responsible source that can provide the
services.
